Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 September 2026
These terms describe the rules for accessing and using Attendence. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to follow them.
1. The service
Attendence provides tools for recording, organizing, reviewing, and integrating attendance information using software, supported devices, and APIs. Features may vary by account, deployment, or integration.
2. Accounts and access
You must provide accurate account information, protect your login credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the service only for lawful attendance-management purposes. You must not:
- access accounts, records, or systems without authorization;
- upload unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing material;
- interfere with security, availability, authentication, or rate limits;
- reverse engineer or misuse the service except where the law permits it; or
- use attendance information to violate another person’s rights.
4. Your data and responsibilities
You retain responsibility for information you or your organization enters into Attendence. You confirm that you have the authority and any necessary notices or permissions to collect and manage that information, including records relating to employees, students, members, or visitors.
You grant the service permission to process that information only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the requested features. The Privacy Policy provides more detail about this processing.
5. APIs and third-party services
Optional integrations may be governed by additional third-party terms. You are responsible for keeping API keys and device credentials secure and for ensuring that connected hardware, software, and workflows are used lawfully.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Features may be updated, limited, or discontinued when necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or product improvement.
7. Attendance decisions
Attendence helps organize records but does not replace appropriate human review. Account owners and organization administrators are responsible for checking records before using them for payroll, academic, disciplinary, access-control, or other important decisions.
8. Service ownership
The service design, software, branding, and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you permission to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of the service or its technology.
9. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We are not responsible for problems caused by unsupported hardware, third-party services, incorrect configuration, unauthorized access, or records entered by users. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using the service at any time. Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risk, non-payment where applicable, legal requirements, or material violations of these terms.
11. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as the service changes. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means you accept the revised terms. Questions may be sent through the support channel supplied with your account or to the administrator responsible for your organization’s deployment.
